Did you know that signals from your cell phone interfere with your wireless internet signal. So do cordless phones, radios, and even your microwave will interfere with your connection. How to keep from having your signal drained? Move your routers channel up to 11. The majority of your interference will occur at channel 8 and bellow. So put that bad boy at 11 and enjoy your internet!

To do so with a Linksys router do the following….

  1. Open a web browser (such as Internet Explorer or Firefox)
  2. When the browser opens, go to the “Address” bar and input the IP address of the Wireless Router (The default IP Address is 192.168.1.1).

n the “Basic Wireless Settings” page, there is a “Channel” area, in that area, click on the drop down list and use only channel11.
